Legal Issues & $13 Million Las Vegas Lawsuit

Blueface has encountered numerous legal problems. In late 2018, he was involved in an incident at a gas station where a man attempted to rob him; he shot at the assailant’s vehicle, resulting in his arrest and a felony charge for shooting at an occupied vehicle. He was soon released on bail. In early 2019, he was arrested yet again, this time for possession of a firearm in a felony context.

In October 2022, while in Las Vegas, Nevada, Blueface was arrested on charges related to attempted murder and shooting. He was detained at Clark County Detention Center and ultimately reached a plea deal, agreeing to a three-year probation period. Should he face any further legal issues during that time, a 2-5 year prison sentence would be imposed automatically.

This shooting took place at Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas. After being forced to close the club due to the incident, its owner filed a lawsuit against Blueface for loss of revenue. On October 23, 2023, the court granted a $13 million judgment to the club owner, officially ordering Blueface to pay $13,072,482. This amount comprised $12.6 million for lost revenue, $200,000 in “lease damages,” and $84,000 in employee-related expenses. Blueface did not contest the lawsuit in court nor did he have legal representation. Without any payments toward the damages made by January 2024, Blueface’s debt had escalated to $14 million due to accumulating interest and penalties.

In mid-January 2024, he found himself arrested again for breaching his probation linked to an assault case from 2021 that occurred in the San Fernando Valley.

Early Life

Born as Jonathan Michael Porter on January 20, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, Blueface initially lived with his mother in Santa Clarita Valley before relocating to Oakland with his father. Upon returning to the Los Angeles area, he attended Arleta High School, where he participated in the marching band and served as the starting quarterback for the school football team. In 2014, he led his team to the East Valley League championship. Blueface later played football at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina but departed from the school in 2016.
