Born Sean John Combs on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City, he grew up in a housing project in Harlem. His father, Melvin Combs, was connected to convicted drug dealer Frank Lucas and was tragically shot and killed when Sean was just three years old. Following this tragedy, the family relocated to Mount Vernon, New York.

Among the numerous serious allegations, Cassie stated that Diddy coerced her into performing various sexual acts with multiple male prostitutes while he filmed the incidents. Cassie further claimed that after attempting to end their relationship in 2018, Diddy forced his way into her residence and assaulted her. Through a lawyer, Diddy denied these allegations, asserting that Cassie was simply trying to extort money, as she had reportedly sought a $30 million payment to keep the information private. Around 24 hours after these claims surfaced, Diddy and Cassie arrived at a private settlement.

However, shortly after Cassie’s allegations were made public, two other women accused Diddy of rape. One of these accusations came from a woman who alleged that Diddy raped her in 1991 while she was a Syracuse University student. In 2004, a 3.5-acre estate in Alpine, New Jersey was acquired by Diddy for $4 million. He tried to sell this property in 2007 at $9 million, but did not attract any buyers. Ultimately, it was sold for $5.5 million in 2016.
